Web Sites
Family Sites Online - Travel to
some of the best places for families on the World Wide Web. You'll find
an abundance of useful information on these sites.
Family Health Sites - If you're looking
for information about children's health, these sites are excellent places
to begin your search.
Software Evaluation Sites - You'll find
an abundance of information on these sites, and in addition, from them
you'll discover links to other sites and resources for the latest software
information.
Safety Online - On the Apple
site, you'll find guidelines to help your children travel safely on the
Internet and links to sites that have safety-specific information .
Talk City EduCenter
is an online chat area about education. You'll enjoy the topics covered
and the chance to interact with the educators online. Sign up for the newsletter
which can be sent to your email address.
The Children's Playground
Our Apple Children's Playground
is designed for children in Grades Kindergarten through Six, or ages 5
through 11 or 12-and their parents and grandparents, too. The playground
is that special place to have fun while traveling and learning on the Information
Highway. Among the unique resources in this section are zany online field
trips and stories that make perfect family outings along with instructions
for having a super day everyday.

The Alliance for Technology Access is a non-profit organization "dedicated to using technology to remove barriers experienced by people with disabilities." If you have a child in need of technology access or you wish to help this organization with its goals, we suggest you visit the ATA web site for additional information.
For the booklet, Including Your Child, go to the National Library of Education . It includes valuable information which will be useful to parents of young children with special needs.
Government Booklets Relating to College Preparation
Getting Ready for College Early (with information high school courses, guidance, financial aid, etc.), Tax Cuts for Education, and Preparing Your Child for College: A Resource Book for Parents are available from these US Government sites.
Learn2 is bubbling
with information for parents of young children. You'll enjoy the interesting
presentation on this site.
Parents of elementary and middle schoolers won't want to miss the Guide to
Enjoying Newton's Apple at Home which can be downloaded and printed.

Curricular-Related Internet
Addresses - Although our curricular themes each month are developed
especially for schools, they'll be very useful at home also. They contain
descriptions of educational sites and links to these sites, ideas for using
site content with children, suggested grade levels for use of the sites,
and more. Examples of themes are: Literature, Ecology, Insects, and US
Presidents & the Presidency.
Lessons Online - You may want to
use some of the lesson plans online for family learning. In many of the
elementary level plans, parent suggestions are included. These lessons
feature both tech-specific and nontech-specific lessons, but even the nontech-specific
ones can easily be adapted for use with technologies in the home.
Using the Apple Curriculum Area - Try the curricular
resources available on the Apple K-12 site for lots of ideas that can be
used with your family or can be used to help your children's schools.
Homework & Studying Tips - In the dark
about homework and how much studying your children should be doing at home?
You'll appreciate the ideas in this section which was developed for you
