Famous Five Paws-Up Online Critics
The Five Paws-Up Foundation brings you our panel of highly acclaimed judges. They award "Five Paws-Up Prizes" to some of the best sites for kids on the Internet. Look for their critical reviews here on the Apple site in "The Children's Playground." In order to be honored with this esteemed award, all five critics must give a paws-up, making a total of five paws for excellence.

Because three of our experts absolutely despise wet paws, the Paw-Up prizes this month feature wonderful weather sites.

"I say," explains Abigail, wet grass in the morning, felines take warning." Milo the WonderDog disagrees, "There is nothing like a roll in fresh, wet grass." TubbyDog smiles and says, "When I get wet, I smell so good, and people know I'm around even when they can't see me." This must be another case for Sherlock Kitty and Dr. Boo who ask, "How do people know that TubbyDog is there?" Sherlock and the doctor don't like wet paws either.

I select Franklin's Forecast from Philadelphia's Franklin Institute because I just adore old Ben Franklin. I almost picked the weather sayings from the Athena site, but Franklin wins! He has sayings, too, doesn't he?

Woof. I've got a fabulous coat of hair, if I may brag a bit. And it goes so well with snow. I know you'll like the snow fun from the Teel Family. I might just like to move in with them. Sounds like fun group. Try Snow Activities and SnowArt, but be sure to have your parents work with you on the projects!

Fluffy white puffy clouds are beautiful like me. That Athena site is simply marvelous and its Clouds are the best!

Critic Sherlock Kitty's Choice
I hate all that paw shaking I have to do when the grass is wet. It's pretty difficult to stick your paws between the blades of grass just so. I'd rather say inside and do the mighty wind activities. You'll like them, too, but do them with your parents. You can Make a Pinwheel, Make an Anemometer, Make a Wind Direction Indicator, and Make a Wind Vane. Of course, I Sherlock Kitty, am an excellent weatherman. But you knew that, didn't you?
