Study
Although students begin kindergarten with varying
skills, students who were behind in achievement
at the beginning of kindergarten often are closing
the achievement gap by the end of the kindergarten
year. By the end of kindergarten, 94% can recognize
the letters of the alphabet and 99% are able
to recognize numbers and basic shapes.
